PLANNING THE FUTURE OF YOUR FARM
Resources to help families deal with the toughest of farm transfer decisions.
Farm families face the challenge of addressing retirement and wealth transfer goals of parents, the needs of on-farm children or heirs, and children or heirs who are not interested in living or working on the farm in the future. NCFTN provides resources to help facilitate family discussion and understanding of tools used in farm transfer. NCFTN works with partners across North Carolina - including Voluntary Ag District Boards, community organizations, and growers associations - to develop custom programming on farm and land management and transfer issues and planning. We also develop print resources, including the Planning the Future of Your Farm workbook (backed by an online library of resources) to help families with decision-making. In addition, we offer on-farm assistance at low- or no-cost to families looking for solutions.
