LYFE Planning the Future of Your Farm Announcement
North Carolina A&T's Linking Youth and Farm Enterprise program will host a Planning the Future of Your Farm seminar Saturday, February 2, 2008 at the Ramada Blue Ridge, located at 1520 Blue Ridge Road, Raleigh, NC 27607 from 9:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. An estate plan for your farm needs to reflect your values, vision, mission, goals and objectives. This seminar will provide those basic concepts and help you in developing and executing an estate plan for your farm objectives. Attorneys from Land Loss Prevention and NC Farm Transition Network will assist us in helping you to devise strategies to work out solutions to secure your retirement financially.
This is a great opportunity for limited resource farmers and landowners to identify resources that can reduce the possibility of land loss as you reach retirement. The program will provide the necessary tools, training and assistance to help participants develop a framework for making decisions about the future of their farms. Participants will receive relevant legal information and participate in group and hands-on activities to enhance this unique learning opportunity.
The seminar will start promptly at 9:30 a.m. and end at 3:00 p.m. Your registration on or before January 15, 2008 will be greatly appreciated. Call or e-mail Tiffany Slade, Program Assistant at 336-334-7734 or sladet@ncat.edu if you need additional information.
