Rebel with a cause: beware those sincere conservation easements (Flavor Magazine, VA)

While he raises some valid points, he should be aware than land trusts have advanced in their knowledge of future infrastructure needs on farms placed in conservation easement. It all goes back to a landowner undergoing the planning process necessary to make good and flexible use of these tools, and be able to communicate their needs to, and reach mutual agreement, the land trust charged with enforcing the easement.
