Many rural farmers and landowners face a real challenge in finding qualified professionals who understand the myriad of issues surrounding a family's desire to keep their land in farm or forest production.  One of the most common questions asked by participants in our education programs is "Who can I call in my area?"  A platform of NCFTN's mission is to identify good professional advisors across the state to whom we can make these referrals.  This platform includes training to increase the skills of advisors in serving farm families with various issues related to farm transition.  NCFTN's FARMADVISORS Network is developing to meet this challenge. 

NCFTN supports a team approach to farm transition planning, with the philosophy that a long term plan to keep a land resource in agricultural production requires coordinated input and counseling of numerous disciplines, including: Estate Planning and Asset Transfer Retirement and Healthcare Planning Farm Enterprise Development Tax management and planning Coordination of Conservation income opportunities Access to Finance and Insurance Communication Counseling and Mediation
