FO2 - We are interested in finding an organic farmer to lease our 7 acres of fields in Wake County for organic farming (crops and/or small animals). We currently live in a house on the property but expect to move within 1-2 years, at which time our house would also be available for rent.
FO1 - This property in central Davidson County was the homesite of my maternal grandparents and was originally a 50-acre farm sown in both grains and produce. The remaining 12.5 acres are partially cleared, with excellent, rich soil and good drainage. A small vegetable garden was last planted there in 1986. There is a barn suitable for storing equipment, but no habitable buildings or water supply. Good opportunity for part-time farmer who wants to grow produce for own consumption and for limited, local markets. Offer is for lease only, with farmer retaining all proceeds from the sale of his crops; sale of land is not an option.
