Farm 501 for Women is a six week series designed for women involved
or who wish to become involved in agriculture. The program is designed
to make the woman a better business partner for the operation. All
women are invited to attend any or all of the sessions. All sessions
are on consecutive Thursday evenings, starting at 6pm and ending at
9pm. Registration is $8.00 per session. Supper and babysitting will be
provided. Topics to be covered include: Taking a Home/Farm inventory,
grain marketing, working with ag lenders, Quickbooks for Farms,
understanding financial statements, family communication, and foresty
issues.
Farm 501 for Women is a Planning the Future of Your Farm collaboration between North Carolina Cooperative Extension (Washington County), the North Carolina Farm Transition Network, and the USDA's Risk Management Agency Community Outreach and Assistance Program.
