Planning the Future of Your Farm: A Workshop on Farm Transition Planning
This installment of the Planning the Future of Your Farm workshop series will help farmers, landowners (and the professionals who advise them) better understand the proecess of and tools involved in developing plans for the long-term future of their farm, with a special hands-on focus on developing a planning vision and schedule, and gathering necessary technical information.

The Planning the Future of Your Farm program, co-sponsored by the Farm Prosperity Project and the NC Farm Transition Network, will include:
• Developing a Farm Transition Plan
• Understanding Estate Planning Tools and Tactics
• Starting the Process with your Family
• Managing Risk through Conservation Programs
• Stories from the Farm: Real Life Family Experiences
Expert speakers, farm family testimonials, and hands-on exercises will be provided to start you on your way.
BONUS: Individual consultations on farm transition planning will be available after the workshop with Andrew Branan, attorney and head of the NC Farm Transition Network, who has helped dozens of farm families across the state begin this process.
Lunch will be served. No charge for the workshop, but pre-registration is required.
