DESCRIPTION:Join us for a series of 5 workshops on preserving the fami
ly farm to be held at the Cooperative Extension Service beginning Janu
ary 30 and running Mondays through February 27. The workshops focus on
preserving the family farm and land. Planning for the future and your
retirement addresses farm transition and succession in the first sess
ion. Will the heirs take over the farming operation\, and if so how wi
ll that transition occur? If not what are my options for retaining the
land in tact? One of the strengths of the workshop series will be th
e resources provided to help landowners with these and other issues fa
cing them. The workshops may be attended individually but are written
as one unit. If you would like to receive information on the workshop
or sign up call 242-2080. The workshops are scheduled for 7\:00 – 8\
