- Join us for a series of 5 workshops on preserving the family farm to be held at the Cooperative Extension Service beginning January 30 and running Mondays through February 27. The workshops focus on preserving the family farm and land. Planning for the future and your retirement addresses farm transition and succession in the first session. Will the heirs take over the farming operation, and if so how will that transition occur? If not what are my options for retaining the land in tact? One of the strengths of the workshop series will be the resources provided to help landowners with these and other issues facing them. The workshops may be attended individually but are written as one unit. If you would like to receive information on the workshop or sign up call 242-2080. The workshops are scheduled for 7:00 – 8:30 or 9:00 nightly.
