The purpose of this workshop is to teach farmers how to market native plants. Discover
the various places to find information to develop a database of potential
clients including the internet, yellow pages, trade shows and industry
material. Other topics of discussion will include writing a marketing
plan, reviewing a sample plan and its various aspects including websites,
plant lists, catalogues, newsletters, business logos and names, cards and
letterhead, tradeshows. Discuss associated costs, budgets, and
expectations in regards to results. Attendees will learn how to
develop,write and implement a simple marking plan that can be used for
marketing all types of agricultural products.
